There is a Microsoft HTML component for the Mac! "Blake" is an OpenDoc component that uses the IE HTML engine to provide a better browser for CyberDog.You can read about it at these two URLs.

And as others have mentioned, Apple's help system uses an HTML engine -- I bet it's IE too.
If worse comes to worse, AppleEvents, the webBrowser verbs, and the fact that Frontier/Mac isn't in an MDI environment, may save the day.
