Great idea Dave, just a couple of things:

#1: I got the semaphore to timeout (in mainResponder.respond) searching for "Macintosh system scripting". Yes, I know I could have had better results searching for "Applescript", but...

I did an ADVANCED search, if that helps.

#2: While the search is working, give the user SOMETHING. I think users will wait only 5 or 6 seconds for something to be there. Even the header stuff ("Results from the search:") would be cool.

Yes, I know that it's FAST - I searched for AppleScript, and got 200 matches - within 5 seconds! Still...
