They should work exactly the same way - the HP and Solaris versions are the Windows version, compiled with a porting toolkit (not sure which one). Contrast to the Mac version which is developed separately, though I'm sure it shares some code with Windows. That's why IE5 for the Mac isn't going to be ready until summer.
