Just to let people know, the DataChannel XML parser supports the IXMLHttpRequest interface.

com.datachannel.xml.om.XMLHttpRequest com.datachannel.xml.om.IXMLHttpRequest

So, if you'd like a Java based implementation, for use in servlets, applets, etc. there it is.
