Seth, to really work, it has to be system-level, with an Apple-blessed API. Otherwise you have trouble substituting a different rendering engine, as some people are sure to want to do. I think that Microsoft was right, HTML rendering is a OS-level function. If it wasn't a couple of years ago, it is now.
