Jim Flanagan shows how a simple CGI can prevent deep linking. The lawsuits can end now. All they have to do is upgrade their servers.Unfortunately, his clever CGI also breaks a major part of the web user interface: bookmarking. How annoying would it be if all your bookmarks expired after one hour?
Put another way: do you want to alienate every user of your site just so you can prevent people from linking to you? (Oh that's right--you do! cause you like to sue the people who drive traffic to your site.)
