Deep linking and financial institutions
Author: Dave Winer Posted: 8/12/1999; 1:41:31 PM Topic: LaSalle's policy re deep linking Msg #: 9429 (In response to 9426) Prev/Next: 9427 / 9430
Deep linking is a completely different issue for banks, brokerages, lending institutions, any site dealing with money and private information. I can understand why LaSalle wants an unambiguous restriction on linking, in case Joe starts passing around links into John's bank account. Sure, they need other forms of security too, but I can understand why they don't want the public jumping deep into a financial transaction.
