As for the suit, could you possibly be referring to Randy Battat? Surely not Kirk Loevner; Kirk was a nice guy.

Absolutely not Randy Battat, or Kirk. Both are nice guys. (But remember sometimes the nice guys have sharp knives!) Randy did more to help us than anyone at Apple. Who "Steve" was shall remain a mystery. Let's leave it alone.
