IMHO, Frontier's UserTalk is already a comfortable scripting syntax.

OTOH, many people feel that the AppleScript syntax sucks.

If you are a web developer who already uses JavaScript, it is attractive to be able to work in a single scripting syntax no matter what you're doing.

Of course, this doesn't dispense with platform specific objects and understanding how to manipulate them.
