Mostly I was just having some fun with my post (in addition to reminding you to update that copyright date, which can probably be automated or macro'ed somehow so that it takes care of itself next year and beyond). However, there is a germ of a point to the copyright-patent quip, and your response shows an appreciation for it.It is one thing to try to prevent misappropriation of your words, and quite another to try to block folks from accomplishing a task in an efficient and standardized manner.
