"I walk up to a soda machine, put in 50 cents, push one button and get a drink."Anyone remember xDropDrink? (ca. 1990 ish)
An xwindows app that worked with their networked coke machine (IIRC, connected via serial line to a unix machine). If you had credit, you could press a button and coke would come out of the machine.
Delivery was problematic, but I remember either that one or an imitator managed to rope freshmen into delivering the caffiene to you.
Hmmm. Prior art for Kosmo.com.
