Agree with everything you said...except for the comments about XML. I use it almost everyday so any future browser that doesn't support it, and XSLT, is a no-go for me.
What I find even more curious is that these are supposedly people from Netscape who can't have been oblivious to the comments and reactiosn that netscpae's feature creep engendered. Why then would they go down the same dead-end path?
