The GPL requires you to license your own additions and modifications to the code, which you own, to all comers under the GPL. (This does not entail changing the licensing of the existing code, as you assert above.) By using GPLed code, you are entering into a contract to make a potentially infinite number of unfair contracts with a potentially infinite number of unspecified third parties! This is an invalid meta-contract.--Brett Glass
