I wonder if Linus would listen. His creation, Linux, is irrevocably GPLed. Even if he'd want to change this, he cannot; he has fallen into the trap. Would he speak out against the GPL now that his fame and fortune depend upon a GPLed product? One could hope that he would do so out on principle, but....
