Jim Stegman: Secondly, I know Diablo II is a first-rate product, & if I support it Blizzard will keep the titles coming. There is NO WAY a product like Diablo II would EVER be created by the open source crowd. At least in my lifetime. I need to support it if I want more.I'd be careful about making the exact same kind of absolutist statements, merely from the opposite perspective, that you warn others against. See <http://www.linuxgames.com>, in particular the OMIGG project and the Crystal Space engine. The Panard Vision engine is another high-quality open source game engine.
