In a message crossposted to the Zope list and to the Python/XML SIG, Jim Fulton observes that having the content type of text/xml for XML-RPC transactions is rather broad. Any chances of making it something more specific, like application/x-xmlrpc ? Following that, you could register an official MIME type with IANA.
