They should work exactly the same way - the HP and Solaris versions are the Windows version, compiled with a porting toolkit

Not so quick -- I think they're using ActiveX controls for XML-RPC functionality.

So unless they have those controls for Solaris or HP-UX or NT 3.51 or Windows 3.1, their version might be limited to NT4/95/98.

The COM interfaces that those ActiveX controls depend on probably require NT4 SP3 or Win95+IE4/5 or Win98.
