Well, there's a lot less tech-VC activity. Silicon Alley is a bit weak in general as an industry center. For gatherings, you have

• WWWAC (more for designers with a bit of tech, not investors)
• NYNMA.
• e-dinners
• MIT Enterprise
• for a cross-group listing you can check out AlleyEvents

None of these have quite the feeling of the event Dave pointed to.

Perhaps there are more secret cabal meetings I'm not aware of...
