Nobody has ever created a successful platform on the basis of technology alone. It's all about alliances, profitability, consensus and money-making opportunities for your allies and your customers. Do you think Robert Young understands this?

Not only does Robert Young understand this; but nobody understands All of It better than he does. His instincts are simply primo. They guy has perfectly straddled the Talking Disney world of portals and branding and consumer demand and the all-geek world of native Linux. Even when he issues a stream of non-sequiturs, he nails the common-sense thing wonderfully.
