Could #members be used to preserve privacy?

Could #members be used to restrict the access? Like this:
#renderTableWith "xxx" item01/ #members zzz publicItemData01 [string] privateItemData02 [string]I suspect the table renderer can be written so that it collects data ignoring #members. But main responder would not serve anything out of the table unless you are a member of the - maybe empty - group zzz.
