Is there a reason that an ITEM can't be arbitrary HTML?what if the user might prefer to use something other than a full fledged web browser to view your channel? "arbitrary HTML" is a quite complicated beast...
What I really want is to put ITEM tags around each item in my HTML file, and be done with it.
if that's the only thing you want, you can use my newschannel tool (see my earlier message). just put ... around the news items, and the tool generates perfectly valid scripting news and RSS files for you from the HTML source.
but I suspect you want more than that, right?
