I have been a proponent here in San Diego for unresticted services to Internet access. Yes, most cable companies restrict servers regardless of packet volume.Now Pacific Bell is providing DSL with NO restrictions on the line. For about the same price as cable modem access, DSL is better if you want to run a server.
Sooner or later, companies will understand that restrictions on Internet access is a bad thing, IMHO.
