Sorry you don't like it (neither do I) but thats not the point. The point was to show how with a simple application of technology they can prevent any abuse, and hence this does not have to be decided by a law case. With this scheme or as someone else pointed out by doing it server side they can be as pig-headed as they want and there will be nothing you can do about it.
