That's what it should be.

But I meant it more in the Orwellian sense, as in "Freedom is slavery" (slavery frees you from so much worry; or freedom is attained by giving up individual thought and letting the Party make your choices for you).

In order to show your respect for diversity, you must conform to the societal standards. Even though diversity implies there are no societal standards.
