IBM's WBI (which someone mentioned earlier) includes a module that does something like that. It keeps track of all the pages you visit. It adds a small menu to each page that you can use to access the list, and on Windows (due to the use of native code), it also indexes the content of all the pages you visit and allows you to do a search.
