The portal would need to know who the user was. Already does.

The portal would need to call the personalisable channel and present some form of criteria (like city = 'London'). The portal would need to know what to present for each channel (like ABCWeatherForecast takes City and Date), and what these values should be for the user.

The simplest way of doing this would be to extend the RSS format so that any parameters could be specified - i.e.



...other channel stuff

Sort of like the XML-RPC spec.
