Or is there some way to make an .html file an as-is file?I'm sure there is. However, now that I think of it, to do that you'd probably need to create an entry in an .htaccess file telling Apache to serve that file using mod_asis. But if you're going to do that, you might as well just create a redirect entry in the .htaccess file.
