Seems to be as applescriptable as 2. In terms of controlling it via javascript - virtually every function is now "callable" via js. So you could create a javascript script that could do things like log into a site, get all the newer files, spellcheck them all, then re-upload just the changed files.

Etc. etc.

So if there's a way via applescript to tell something to dw via js then applescript coudl do all that too I suppose.
