In fact, even my vacation is not a pure vacation -- when you have a computer, a cellular phone with you, can you really have a vacation?

Does this remind anyone else of The Matrix? Do you suppose there's an AI out there that needs us to generate a certain amount of e-mail and cellphone calls a day in order for it to survive?
