I hate to agree with a bureaucrat, but I am so *sick* of having to try to read full pages of sans-serif type. The Office of the President was right in this case.

Sans-serif is more *legible*, but a quality serif is *much* more *readable* in blocks.

(FWIW: I'm an amateur typographer and sometime type designer.)
