Of course, with XML-RPC and SOAP working in both Java and Frontier (interoperability still needing to be ironed out as far as SOAP is concerned), interoperating with Java or exposing the Frontier ODB to Java is a no-brainer.

Okay, so I'm completely on the bandwagon here.
