Based on your on-going, even extreme, contributions to the community, I would consider you part of it.

I wrote earlier on a Degree of open source developers.

I don't believe there's an objective way of determining whether or not someone is a part of the open source community, as in most any community, and merely declaring oneself as part of a community surely isn't it .
