Probably because the Venezuelan president recently pushed through shady constitutional changes that extend his power and put Venezuela(South America's Oldest democracy) on par with some of the shadier governments of the region.When Communists try to extend their consitutional authority, businesses tend to relocate.(As their largest media conglomerate did.-to Florida)
In a show of petulance at getting his knuckles rapped by the US and the UN for his strong armed tactics, the president went to hob-knob with Saddam Hussein and commiserate. :-)
