The airplane thing has nothing to do with this. Amazon is selling goods, not perishable services.

Noone has problems with cheaper prices for regular customers, but this isn't what is happening.

If it weren't so odd in its implimentation, and they didn't deny it when you called about different prices, then it wouldn't be such a big deal.
