Re: the Slate article; Fast Company featured an exclusive interview with both Gore and Bush on their stance on these issues. http://www.fastcompany.com/online/39/vote.html. I found the e pretty balanced; it gave both candidates a good chance to represent themselves positively and still differentiate themselves.
