So when do the labels start selling right-to-use licenses, without *anything* else? If you can sell that, you don't even have to worry about shipping CDs or serving the MP3s - let the customer find them, let MP3.com and Napster handle the infrastructure.

Seems like the logical next step, except people would surely balk at paying for something *that* intangible, just for the fuzzies of being legal when nobody's checking.
