Had a similar thing happen to us at work, except the offending message was quite large and non-work-related (it was that infernal dancing-baby animation, if you must know). Cleaning up that, -plus- all the folks forwarding it to friends and coworkers, took about a week.

There's now a hard limit on email attachment size of something like 5MB. Folks who need to attach more are encouraged to use compression sofware and/or find other means, such as FTP or FedExing a Zip disk.
