I just got this at work...

It's a document called "Microsoft Update 99", and it describes some events in Santa Rosa, including a tech briefing for "IT professionals," called "Understanding XML and Internet Explorer 5.0". Here's the description from their brief...

Understanding XML and Internet Explorer 5.0

This session will introduce Internet Explorer 5.0 and it's (sic) enhanced capabilities supporting Extensible Markup Language (XML). Learn how XML will enable you to build data-driven three-tier web applications. Review realistic scenarios of how XML in three-tier environments can enhance Web site development for data driven applications.

It's at the Hilton Hotel, 3555 Round Barn Road, Santa Rosa, CA, 2/11/99 from 9:15AM to 10:30AM. They say to register at no cost from http://www.microsoft.com/corcal/update.htm and enter event code #21867.
