Why not run a slimmed down frontier on the "client" (meeting participant) side of the connection? When the technographer needs to update everyone's view, he hits F8, which sends an object to the client's machine, which their copy of frontier then renders into their browser. That way the client's view of the meeting only updates when something changes.
