Smart Browsing.. Linux
Author: Kevin Collins Posted: 3/6/1999; 10:36:04 AM Topic: Smart Browsing.. Linux Msg #: 3728 Prev/Next: 3727 / 3729
Any Linux users notice this behaviour?Communicator 4.5; Smart Browsing in the preferences is turned OFF. When my PPP connection is dropped and the broswer is still running, after a minute or so I get this message in a dialog box:
Warning: the following hosts are unknown:
home.netscape.com home6.netscape.com internic.net
This means that some of all hosts will be unreachable
It would appear they are sending my browsing info to the Home Office anyway, no? I don't use netscapes portal, so it can't be that..
