I remember playing the first version of multiplayer "Hunt the Wumpus" on a teletype terminal over the ARPANet from Harvard's Aiken computer lab to a machine (and person!!) at Stanford in 1979. Much cooler than using telnet or ftp, which were the only other things you could do on the net at that time. (Well, there was e-mail after a fashion, but the addressing between machines was REALLY gross.)
