Dave, your post reminded me to re-examine the Frontier-Perl connection. Here's a screenshot for you demonstrating a Perl function in the ODB being called by a Frontier script. The Perl function makes an OLE connection to Frontier, calls a Frontier script that grabs user.prefs.name, and returns a message for Frontier to display.

I would've posted this to the screenshots site, but my workplace doesn't allow web uploads. I'll post it once I get home to my own PC, but I just wanted to share this with y'all.
