From a non-technical point, from a user perspective, and for somebody that is use to use the command line, what are the differences between FreeBSD-openBSD and Linux? Is it the GUI ?

I just don't understand why is there so much hype about Linux, when FreeBSD is also running on Intel hardware.

If somebody can explain this for me (I'm a total newbie on these topics).
