People seem to like the concept of summer where it doesn't rain

Not all people :-) Here in Phoenix, it hasn't rained in *months* and it's not predicted to for a couple of weeks, yet. It's about 105 or so right now and sunny as always.

There are a few farmers a bit south of Phoenix that are put out because it hasn't rained in over a year...

Not quite Seattle :-)
