Agreed, which is one good reason why they won't be used for code migration. Another reason is that they can't assume one machine architecture (e.g. the Java VM) on both sides of the wire.Now if only Java were secure. ;-)
Please, let's not argue about whether or not it is or isn't, it simply tries to be. There's clearly a continuum there.
