I don't see how you got this from the speech. What I heard boils down to "We're going to put together some value-added services for Mac users, just like every other vendor does for their users."

Wired picked up the quote too, and the controversy:

Wired: "Jobs said the company had looked at the fact that it owned proprietary software on both ends of a Web visit to the site. 'We realized we could take unfair advantage of the fact.'"
