If Cologne doesn't work out and if you don't suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder then Copenhagen is also possible. Or you could swing through Copenhagen on the way to or back, there's plenty happening in southern Scandinavia. (though I usually suggest people pass through between May and October :)
