ok... think i figured it out...

*your* macro is doing a custom procedure call -- with specified variables & parameters -- whereas the generic "parameter-only" macros are those that are defined by userland, with a set array of parameters returned to set variables... is that right?

or hell, maybe i'm needing some sleep!
