I bet certain parts of Conxion are wishing they were a British ISP, where websites can now be shut down for anything remotely libelous.

They'd gag you, sue you, then gag you again if you tried to use any other service in the country. While the articles on this story tend to point out the vulnerabilities this exposes the ISPs too, it could also grant them some measure of power over their critics; brand the criticisms libelous, and cut the site instantly, since the ISP is responsible for the content, not (just) the content producer.

It could always be worse.
