Pike's just barely fast enough to be useable on my Pentium 75 with 16MB of RAM running Win95A, so I use it for writing longer articles; I stick with the web interface for minor changes.

It's easily fast enough on my work machine (a PII-333, 192MB of RAM, running NT4 SP5), but I haven't come up with a legitimate business case to convince the sysadmin to let Pike traffic through the firewall. Maybe the next project I'm on...
